Worst Foods in America

When you go out to eat, you can guess the items on the menu that aren't good for you, but do have any idea exactly HOW calorie laden those cheesy fries are?!
Just in time for the week-end, Men's Health has ranked the worst offerings among appetizers, main courses, and desserts in popular chain restaurants. Keep in mind that a daily caloric of 2,000 calories for women and 2,500 for men is all that is required to maintain your current weight.
I'm off to nibble on a lettuce leaf now...........

I read this list aloud to my husband, and we are both glad that we've completely eliminated fast food from our family choices. Just before I read this article, we finished a half turkey sandwich on whole-wheat bread with mustard and alfalfa sprouts and a cup of baby carrots on the side. Yum!

Lord, I just glad that the Chocolate Lava Cake that they serve at Chili's didn't make the list. That's my buddy and mine secret treat...lol....

Your lava cake may not have made the list, but at 1200+ calories and 60+ grams of fat, it probably should have.

It is not a matter of what you eat every now and then, it's the quality of daily foods that matter. We never fry at home, and rarely eat fried out--but fried choc pound cake is the best. Sure, it has mondo calories, and is not healthy--but don't eat it everyday and you will be fine--I imagine the same goes for most of the list or anything else that could be on it. I know I have never eaten sprouts and rest assured never will--but my weight is monitored in other ways--I easily eat more than the numbers here, but I don't stop moving long enough for them to stick.
